Are there any artificial or synthetic ingredients in your products?

No! I believe that if you can't eat it (or pronounce it), you shouldn't use it on your skin. Even some small artisanal companies purchase lard that has already been rendered and contains additives such as BHT and dimethylpolysiloxane, a synthetic silicone based compound. I use only natural scents and colors in my soaps and balms, which technically means you could eat them...

Where does your lard come from? 

I render my lard in small batches from fatback and leaf fat that I source from a local farm here in Blacksburg, Glade Road Growing. Their pigs are pastured and the grains they eat are organic. 

What is calendula-infused lard?

It's lard I've infused with calendula!  It means I've soaked the dried calendula flowers in lard to extract the healing properties.
